WPI grows by 11.39% in August’21 as against 11.16% in July’21

The uptick in August’21 WPI of 11.39% was mainly on account of non-food articles, minerals, petroleum and manufactured products like basic metals, food products, textiles, etc. The non-food articles index spiked by 28.80% and fuel-power index rose by 26.10% as compared to 22.90% and 26.00% in July’21. Manufactured products’ index rose by 11.40% as compared to 11.20% in July’2021.
