Retail inflation eased in November from a 14-month high in the previous month

Retail inflation eased to a three-month low of 5.48 per cent in November after surging to a 14-month high of 6.21 per cent in October as prices of food items including vegetables moderated during the month. Separately released data by the NSO showed India’s factory output, as measured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), rose to a three-month high of 3.5 per cent in October from 3.1 per cent in September.
